My husband and I love to travel. Ok, ok, so maybe I love to travel. My husband loves me, so he now loves it too. Growing up I would fantasize about traveling the world as a free bird. Going from place to place, no cares or worries. Meeting new exciting people with different ideas on how life should look. I love everything about traveling; well mostly.
The cost is the major thing that deters me from traveling. It’s so darn expensive, I can’t just flitter around the world as the free bird I so longed to be as a child, “I got bills yo”. I work really hard to try and travel on a budget, I must remind you this is a “married life budget”. No shared bathrooms or bedrooms anymore, thank you. I’d like to say we are middle to low with our traveling budget.
Three things I look for in good travel destinations:
- The scenery must be beautiful.
- Price must be reasonable or it must be on our bucket list.
- The people must be friendly.
I base most of my reviews of destinations on how naturally beautiful it is. We are outdoor enthusiasts and love good mountain landscapes or ocean views. Unfriendly people deter me from wanting to return to places, in my reviews I will always touch on friendliness. I have a hard time hearing and understanding people, even English speaking people. I like patient, kind people.
My reviews of places I have traveled will always be honest, and will be based on my three criteria. Some of these places I’ve traveled have been for business but mostly for leisure. Stay tuned for reviews on the places I’ve traveled as well as some tips, tricks, and fails along the way.
Here is a quick list of some of the places I’ll review (random order):
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (coming soon)
- Europe Trip – Backpacking
- New Zealand
- Los Cabos, Mexico
- Lake Tahoe, Nevada
